'lOtS oF fAkE ReViEwS!"

Where did you get that number from...."lots?"

If you filter via "Verified Purchases" in the reviews that huge "heavily inflated" number of from 5,446 to the tiny tiny tiny 'uninflated' number of 5,358 ratings. So unless you are suggesting these companies are buying hundreds or thousands of real units...with real money just to put fake reviews then the maximum number of fake reviewers could be (in theory) roughly 1.5% of the total ratings. Not sure about you but I consider that a pretty safe margin of error

You do realize just saying something you thought sounds right in your head...doesn't make it true?

Well, "lots" (see what I did there?) of the 1 star reviews are people complaining the sprayer stopped working after the SECOND time they went to use it. Wonder how many of those 1 star reviews are "highly inflated" by people not reading the manual and cleaning the paint sprayer? LOL...

400 verses 450 watts. 2 extra brass. 3.1 verses 3.3 heavier.
Seems under powered to me when compared to other brands: 600 watts, 750 watts and up.

Nah, got $35 HVLP in Lidl month ago.. and didn't used because all my paint too thick.
Just keep in mind, HVLP will work only for thin paint.
I cannot use even water-based: poly (BEHR Urethane Alkyd) and acrylic (BEHR Scuff Defence)

I've this. Bought almost for similar price few years ago.

Work great for thin colors. Otherwise filter and nozzle keep getting clogged.

e.g. Don't use it for something like Primer

This is a very good sprayer especially for the price. I painted cabinets with it and got great results. My girlfriend refinished some furniture with it and she had never used a sprayer at all and they came out fantastic. I have seen several of the woodworkers I follow on YouTube recommend this as well.

You just have to thin it. It comes with a viscosity cup to make sure you have it thinned correctly. I have sprayed latex and acrylic paints with primer built in with no issues at all.

5,445 ratings averaging 4.1 stars and Amazon's #1 best seller…

How do you define "highly rated"?
Something with at least 60% 5 stars. This has almost 10% 1 star reviews. But maybe my standards are too high. Also why I'm almost never let down by my purchases

Bought this for $65 from Home Depot back in 2020. Have used it to spray many different types of paints and woodworking finishes, on projects from small side tabletops to an entire backyard fence and a shed I built. You'll often find yourself thinning well past the maximum recommended dilution ratios if you want it to properly spray thick paints (meaning there's a question of whether your paint will bond properly at all). If you don't, it'll either not spray at all or immediately clog up and sputter chunks all over your work. I wouldn't use it for any projects where I want a perfect finish. But it's okay if you're using it mostly for thin, water-based stains and finishes.

Another note: after repeated use, the trigger will eventually start to pop out of its guide holes while in use. It's frustrating but you can easily pop it back in and continue on.

If I could do it all over again, I'd probably have spent more for something of slightly better quality, even knowing that I'll use it at most 2-3 times a year. But if you plan to use it once or twice for a quick project with thin products, it's a pretty good purchase.

I bought this exact sprayer and used it to stain my fence last weekend. Worked great.

Paid $60 iirc. Totally paid for itself even if I never take it out of the box again.

Also pretty easy to clean fwiw.

I ordered the finish max thinking I was getting a good deal at almost 50% off, however the advertising is deceptive. This is not a $110 sprayer, it's considerably inferior. I watched a YT video where the guys mentions that the 'super' doesn't come with a viscosity cup because the motor is more power and can handle thicker paint. Once I understood the difference I realized that this is probably worth $60 compared to the super so I returned it and ended up splurging on a Graco unit so I'd have more versatility for larger jobs. However, I've seen several YT vids where people general seems very satisfied with the super.

This is one of the "top" home section purchases I made in the last couple of years. It works very well if you clean after each use. It's very simple to clean and you could just rinse the paint holder and top lid on the gun and then just fill with water and spray until it comes out clean.
Still going strong. I've used a variety of paints in it and never had to thin. Def 9/10.

Only small complain is sometimes it takes a little bit of efforts to get the nozzle on.
