This game clearly uses the Synty art assets, and it's really easy to run into this issue with those packs. If you don't do optimizations yourself, the assets out of the gate have unoptimized mesh colliders, materials don't have GPU instancing, and the mesh's aren't marked as static so they won't be statically batched. That means one draw call per object even if it's the same mesh with the same texture as the thing next to it. It's also easy to run into this if you're not baking lighting and occlusion culling.

Things may have changed since OP made this deal post. It now says "Play Game" rather than "Add to my account", so you need to download the game to add it to your account. There's no telling if they'll make you pay for it after it exits beta. It's a pretty small install, so there's no risk installing it and claiming it. It's a little odd that an indie single player game would be free to play. It makes me wonder how jank this one is.

Very weird. I had the button to add it to my account but I was using the mobile Steam website rather than the desktop app. So (if you were using the desktop app) that might be the reason. Otherwise I have no idea lol.

I agree with you though, it's odd that's it's F2P. I saw one negative review mention in game currency but they didn't go into detail on what that means exactly.

Edit: apparently it has a pretty rough co-op mode as well per the reviews.

I was able to add it to my library and to play free but after the 3 weeks do we have to pay for it do they take the money automatically
