It is a good price for this coffee for sure. So if you insist on this brand, this comes out to something like 85 cents per ounce. It's usually well over a dollar per ounce. By comparison, my go-to coffee is Lavazza, which I can usually get for under $15 for the 2 lb bag. That comes out to about 45 cents an ounce. I've never tried this brand to know whether or not it's worth double the price, but I do have friends who love it (and don't share).

I love it and don't share. The only Lavazza blend I really like as much is their espresso blend. But Illy is our weekend coffee

This is a really good price for illy. Like a poster above said, this is the best mass marketed coffee I've had. It's not as good as from a local or even online roaster, but the premium is heavy on that. For me, I couldn't get through Lavazza. I'm likely a snob, but I couldn't force myself to get through a full bag with standard brewing. I ended up finishing my Lavazza bag strictly for cold brew.

Does anyone know the shelf life on this illy? I've never bought the 6-pack. I drink one large cup of Coffee a day so it will take me a while to use this up.

I sure hope this is not another Amazon "deal" offloading expired/soon-to-expire coffee. Got burned twice already. Received beans expiring in a week.

I see S&S as an option. I also see in the OP "plus extra 20%" immediately following the $51.71 that you saw in OP's description. And I see the 20% coupon on the product page.

You must be getting 15% for s&s. My total was 40.82 before taxes. This is one of the best tasting coffee we have brewed at home!

Damn, had to order it since I'm eligible for the 15% S&S Smilie Although I've been spoiled by free bag(s) of Blue Bottle grinds I get from my "dealer" every several weeks.

They definitely have a much longer shelf life than most coffee beans, since they vacuum seal it with a neutral gas (nitrogen I think). But of course if these cans were roasted awhile ago, a longer shelf life is meaningless.
