Doesnt it just open Uplay when you launch from steam anyway?
That's how all my other Ubisoft steam games work.
Ubisoft Connect logs me out and forgets my credentials every single time. Makes me not even want to play the handful of games I have with them.
If you don't care for the extra skins or whatever on the Deluxe Edition of Far Cry 6, you can get the Standard Edition and get The Crew 2 instead. So 3 games for $10.

Deluxe has none of the expansions. Not worth it over the base game IMHO. For some reason the "Gold" edition is bumped back up to $90 and the GOTY is at $26 after the promo (plus the free Lake game if it matters).
If you just have to buy some FC6 now, I'd either go for the base game and add $5 of something else you want to use the promo code or get the GOTY edition. Personally, I'm waiting until Gold or GOTY are down around $10 or so...not like this is a new game or anything.
I think I'm with you, gonna wait for goty to be less. I don't need to play it in any hurry.
Lake appears to be the stick of gum in the pack of baseball cards
Anyway, FarCry 6 isn't the best FarCry game, but the world is huge, beautiful, and there's enough weirdness to keep you interested. I'm still playing it even though I technically finished it over a year ago LOL.
Very tempting. I've played every farcry since farcry3 except this one. All have similar mechanics. Some have been better than others. Never paid more than $10 for any of em. For mindless fun id say this ain't a bad deal.

I just bought it on Steam and installed it on my Steam Deck. It does make you login to Ubisoft, but it doesn't require me to use the Ubisoft launcher. I currently have it running at around 48fps on default settings on the Steam Deck using GE-Proton7-53. Didn't seem to work with the default proton. Seems to run really well on the Steam Deck though once you get it initially configured.
Edit: Default settings are set to high, so there is a lot of headroom dropping to Medium and Low
Far Cry 6 is the worst in the whole series, gets boring already 10 mins into the game
The start of the game has a more restrictive, almost on-rails feel than most of the other entries in the series. By the time it opened up it still had less of an adventurous, open world feel than the other primary games. 3 and 4 are my favorite of the post-OG main games, then 5, and 2/6 down at the bottom

I don't find it on Steam when searching.
Uninstall and reinstall uplay and the issue goes away. Had same issue and doing that fixed it.
