Not true.
I have 2 Eco-Drives, 10 and 15 years old, and still going strong.
And unless you're a vampire, even if the battery loses life (mine haven't), just a little bit of sunshine you get during the day will keep it going.

1. Impossible to remember how to set it up and all after years of not using it without reading the zillion page manual.
Seriously complex and convoluted.

2. Not the most reliable.
1 out of 4 died in regular, non-abusive use.

Citizen has videos which show you how to set their more complicated movements.

In this case the movement is U680 and you just follow the instructions on how to set/use its features.

Way better than RTFM.
