I bought this exact model for this price a couple years ago and have no complaints. Actually, 1 complaint; the covering for the charging port is an absolute PITA to open, but that feels like a minor thing compared to the overall quality.

Fairly slick for full range sound, long battery life and JBL quality. Lowest price ever it appears.

Ignore the down votes unless they post a shoddy rationale. Nothing even comes close to sound quality or durability at this price point.

Yes - proprietary. Also has USB-A out to power your phone via its internal battery. There is also an 3.5mm stereo AUX in.

They are basically equivalent in sound quality (top notch), however, the Extreme 2 is waterproof, portable, and has a longer battery life.

I have this speaker, and it's incredible at this price point; by far the best you can get at $150. Did pick up the Sony XG500 when it briefly went on sale yesterday at $200, will be comparing the two and deciding which to keep at home and which to bring to the office.

Have not heard the Sony in person, but hear it's a LOT more bass forward/warm than this JBL, which is great for a lot of music I listen to, but not so great for the other half. Guess I'll see which I prefer overall. The Sony has a bit of a headstart though considering it has the mic/guitar input, me looking to get into bass guitar. Definitely wouldn't be the best option as an amp, but I don't have anything yet and it's something.

I've had this speaker for a few years and it's still going strong. Great sound and bass. prob my favorite Bluetooth speaker I've bought.

Genuine ask - I've been looking around for a BT speaker (car, parties, etc.). I liked the UE Megaboom 3 best. RTINGS has a comparison between this and the UE, and UE wins on battery life and music (not BT tho). And I don't need a voice assistant… but this looks like a solid deal.
Any thoughts/recommendations?
