My first 4 fishing rods was from this deal 6 years or so ago. Two 7', a 6'6 and a 5'6 I still have 3 of them in the garage. I definitely recommend this for any new anglers, great inexpensive entree set up.

At this point in my life I've been through many combos, cheap and expensive. I consider myself an avid bass angler, and to any new comers to fishing, just buy some rods! Stop looking for the best thing. You don't know what you need or like yet, and you won't know until you start catching fish.

Get the 7' for bass and catfish, 6'6 can go for bass, panfish, even trout, and the 5'5 is going to be panfish and trout. Use this as a rough guide on which rods to get.
You sound like a great airbnb host....
When I don't catch any fish, I blame the equipment too.

I have a few of these combos from previous deals (I think they used to be 2 for $30). They are great for freshwater lakes and ponds. And if you break or lose one ( or your careless fishing buddy does), it's no big deal. I always have at least one of these with me when I go out. And I bring em fishing too.

I'd be buying more but I still have a couple with the tags still on them.

Like the price, but the $9 shipping wipes out 50% of the discount as none are in stock at my store.

Great! Thanks a lot. This would be my very first set up.
