AcuRite Iris (5-in-1) Weather Station with Two Color Displays $162

Price wise this is a great deal as just the weather array by itself with the dual solar panels is $110 and the displays are over $50 each and list for $90 each.

Depending upon how harsh your weather elements are the weather array lasts outside 3-7 years before it fails and needs replacing.

Good price for the bundle, yes. (TU) But take away one display to get a much better price? No. That model is $150 so only $12 more for the second display. That's marketing.

The better station unit [acurite.com] (with UV index and light intensity) is $138. No deal there.

Been some time since checking on third-party hacks for web GUI display (use an old tab or phone, plus access on local network). Bet it's pretty standard for these units nowadays. (But not sure so no ding-me!)

yup, i have the atlas too. i got it about 2 years ago from walmart when they had one of those deals that was almost to good to be true. had to wait almost 6 months for it to come into stock. the catch was that the display was the revision that had a faulty firmware and locked up on reboot after so long. laugh out loud

I'm in the same boat! It's oddly comforting to know that I'm not the only one in a frustrating holding pattern. I had gotten an Acurite 5-in-1 for my dad like 6 or 7 years ago and it's been such a nice station in spite of being relatively cheap, now I really want one too. I'd sure love to have one with connectivity to home automation, and it appears that these devices are slowly being updated to communicate via Matter, so I'm sitting here hoping that Acurite updates them with native Matter connectivity. What I really like about the Acurite hardware is that they appear to have other super-useful sensors like soil moisture, which would be FANTASTIC to incorporate into something like, Homekit without having to run a Home Assistant server on a Raspberry Pi. If anyone has seen a turn-key system that has really good hardware like Acurite, lemmie know!

Also, one super-useful function that the older Acurite 5-in-1's had was having a readout connected to a PC that appends an Excel file so that you can have a record of what the weather was doing. I don't think you can do that with these included readouts, so keep that in mind.
