Who cares where it's made. I work for a company that designs the products here in the U.S. but manufactures in China (did some in Mexico, some stuff in Vietnam). The thing is.. nobody wants to pay U.S. manufactured prices when it's 3-4x as expensive.
Is there a template that they give you to tape and then screw the holes at the bottom?
The Lowe's model has the soft-close. It's pretty smooth, minimal play of the rail in the track, there's like 16 ball bearings on the top and bottom of each track. I will say the initial pull out is a little heavy probably due to the soft close. Multiple finger pull - easy enough. Pinky pull - may hurt.
That being said I was going to do the door mount kit but I didn't feel confident in the MDF cabinet doors to hold up with all the movement. You may feel different about it, $20.
There isn't a template but just like simple guidelines of attaching 1/4" from the opening edge of one side with a 1/2" wood screw, which I didn't do since old thin cabinets, works fine. If you wanted to mounted centered, between the opening I wouldn't see an issue with it, just less efficient on space if the cabinet is larger.
Mount the 4 screws on the U-Shape bracket/base (2) are on the front half of the track and the 2 screws on the back mount on the top track, which pulls out after setting the base.
Totally agree, love it!!! One of my clips actually broke but that could have been one of the kids forcing a pot to fit… I still need to figure out how to get a relatively cheap replacement.

I think so, mine is 24+"and holds a lot of pots. It should be secured to the side of your cabinets so pretty sturdy.
I don't know if what I had at my old house was the same brand because it was a previous owner who installed it. It looks the same though. Some clips came off, and a few of them broke. This was after several years of use, but the plastic clips are weak link, and I suspect they didn't love heavy cast iron pans.
Tell your son that I really like their products and the quality is very good.
The primary product made in the U.S. is information. Manufacturing has moved overseas due to cost for the most part because nobody wants to spend 3x as much on U.S. made equivalent products. I see this in my company and my wife's company who deals with commercial construction. It's just business. I'm not being rude, I'm being practical.
If you want U.S. made, be prepared to spend 3x as much for similar quality due to cost of living. That's a fact. This sale price of $60 is great but it's the normal price for products made in other countries because the cost of living is lower elsewhere.
You add up the cost to manufacture elsewhere + distribution costs and it's still cheaper than having it shipped direct from a company in the US.
This is very true
Will be returning one for their 15" wide two-tier basket shield. I knew there was going to be a gap and loss of shelf space running two of the 12" shelves. Actually seeing one inside I knew there wasn't going to be enough space for the bigger pots. Figured we just do non-stick on the 12" w/ organizer and stainless stack on the 15" w/ basket.
Installation is pretty straight for though. When you get to the step where you fit in the track system w/o the shelves in the cabinet, don't be discouraged to have the inside rail stick out like a 1/4". But once the shelves are on the rails will line up with the out track. Also found putting the top shelf in when screwing in the top mount helpful with keeping the top track parallel.
And then Jason83 replied, "This is true"
So I then inferred Jason could possibly be rootbear's son.
See, not weird.
