Rumors are that there will be better trade-in values for older Samsung phones than the positively anemic offers earlier in the year and in late 2022.

Weeklong deals should start Monday morning on May 15 and run through til Sunday, May 21. Daily deals start and end at 9am Eastern Daylight Time, while flash sales with run from 12-4PM ET.

It's not known what phones will be eligible for trade-in and their values.

I have done about 3 Samsung trade in since 2018.... Every time I hate it. I got rejected twice and had to speak with CSR to get it sorted... I vow to never do these ridiculous trade-in again. Sorry for being the negative voice in this deal

I agree, they said I turned in a broken phone but it was perfect when I sent it in.

I always take photos and a packing video just to be sure if they try pulling something like this.

These trade-in deals are best if you're going from a lower end phone to a higher end one, or to the next years version of the same phone (ex. S22 to S23). I have a Fold 4, and I'll have to pay something if I want to downgrade to an S23. It's only really helpful if I want to upgrade to a Fold 5 later.

Always take photos and video if your trade in. Package your trade in properly and take a video of that. I've done multiple trade ins never had and issue.

Always make a recording of your phone before you send it in. I've done the trade in deal 4 times and had 2 times where they gave me issues

And I have been doing the trade ins of my phone & my wife's phone since then as well. I have always returned just my devices in a ziplock inside a box with their label to samsung and been receiving credits just fine. My devices have always been well kept in pristine conditions & scratchless. Just 3 days ago I traded in our 2 watch 3s for watch 2 watch 5 pros. I am going to ship these 2 watches again to samsung to get credits. Again, my watches are also in scratchless condition, forget about any water damage, bettery problems or any damage to the screens.

Let's see been holding out also just don't see a point to upgrading from s22 Ultra when almost no spec changes right? Just slightly better processer and camera.

Yep. I pull up the "About Phone" screen with IMEI and screenshot it. Then pull up a web page that is all white and take an external photo of it. Take an photo of the back. You can print out and put in the Samsung exchange box. I do that now. No issues with returns.
