Air plants don't need dirt, so they're relatively pest free. I have a few in my office by the window. I just spray them with water every few days and they're relatively happy.

all of which is pretty normal and ordinary at amazon and their bizarre pricing....

the 6 is normally about $11 and the 12 is normally $15-19 for the past 3 years according to 3c
so this actually is a good deal relative to normal price

For what it is worth, Lowe's has a 5 pack for $4 in the entire region I live (pa/wv/Ohio region). The shipped ones are a better deal, but the Lowe's route might be a good option for those that want to see them in person or have more control over the species.

As long as they get some indirect light and some water - I just dunk mine in a cup for ~10 minutes a week and leave it on a shady windowsill. There's nutrient food sprays you can get to help them grow,

Good question. Eggs have gotten expensive, and a lot of sellers are silently doing away with all of the extras we have come to expect, to cut costs.
