This is actually a Hynix P1 Platinum, which is much better than the 670p.

Canceled my order of the teamgroup a440 and got this instead. Seems to be much better hardware and performance for about $30 more including the sabrent ps5 heatsink cover.

Dragged into the fray.
The reason the Intel 670 is coming up is because Solidigm bought Intel's SSD business and the tech that came with it. The Gen 3 drive in this post is often described as the successor to the Intel 670. And yes, people have been brainwashed to think of Intel as the pinacle of computer greatness, "Intel Inside" add campaign.

I saw this article on solidgm:

https://wccftech.com/solidigm-lau...ame-loads/

I know the drive (p44 pro) is basically a hynix p41 platinum under a different name. But im wondering if these software improvements are worth it? I currently have the hynix 2tb p41 platinum and it doesnt work with this new software that solidgm is using.

Anyone have one of these drives and is the new synergy 2.0 software actually beneficial?

Speaking of DRAM. For the average normie trying to keep up with tech.

How does one find out if a SSD has DRAM or not?

That bit of information is hidden pretty well, and I'm tired of all the time wasted scouring a page to not find any dram

Solidigm is a subsidiary company made up of former Intel employees when Intel sold its NAND Flash business to SK Hynix.

If you already have a Hynix P41 Platinum or similar, I don't see the point. However, if you don't, GET Solidigm, their firmware, software and Windows driver is by far better than any I have ever used.

This video should explain a little bit about them if you're interested.

No. This drive is faster and it's PCIe4 instead of 3. In large part because it's PCIe4, this drive is capable of 2X the read/write performance in synthetic tests, but most users won't notice much of a difference between this and the 670p.
Will this work on PCIe3?

Strictly speaking, this is not true

It's the same controller and NAND, but with a different board, firmware, and software

The two drives don't expose the same amount of user-available space, let alone perform identically

P41 Plus is back up to $99. Seems like a very good price at $80.

Edit: Nevermind, it looks like the price goes up after you place an order, but is still available if you haven't picked one up.
