The reason the Intel 670 is coming up is because Solidigm bought Intel's SSD business and the tech that came with it. The Gen 3 drive in this post is often described as the successor to the Intel 670. And yes, people have been brainwashed to think of Intel as the pinacle of computer greatness, "Intel Inside" add campaign.

I know the drive (p44 pro) is basically a hynix p41 platinum under a different name. But im wondering if these software improvements are worth it? I currently have the hynix 2tb p41 platinum and it doesnt work with this new software that solidgm is using.
Anyone have one of these drives and is the new synergy 2.0 software actually beneficial?

How does one find out if a SSD has DRAM or not?
That bit of information is hidden pretty well, and I'm tired of all the time wasted scouring a page to not find any dram
If you already have a Hynix P41 Platinum or similar, I don't see the point. However, if you don't, GET Solidigm, their firmware, software and Windows driver is by far better than any I have ever used.
This video should explain a little bit about them if you're interested.

It's the same controller and NAND, but with a different board, firmware, and software
The two drives don't expose the same amount of user-available space, let alone perform identically

Edit: Nevermind, it looks like the price goes up after you place an order, but is still available if you haven't picked one up.
