Don't buy it. Wait for it to go lower! If no one buys, they will lower the price even more to make more sales.

We're only saving $12 from this "sale" according to its regular price. $80-90 would be a better deal.

Yeah but, 1 year ago it was $200 with a few short drops to $150 here and there. Although it may only be a recent sale of $12 off, it has dropped nearly $100 in a matter of months.

Will it go lower? Maybe, but many manufacturers are already reducing their production to drive the prices back up. There's no guarantee that prices will continue to drop. That said there is also no guarantee that prices will increase either.

This is a historically good price for this drive.

SK Hynix still in lala land for this old last Gen ssd. Teamgroup has 1 TB SSD for $29. Why is SK Hynix still overcharging for their SSDs. Just as bad as Samsung ripping people off.
Yeah 2TB Gen 3 drives not worth over $100. $7 more i got 2TB Gen4 7400MB/s drive.

Do this drive really run cooler than a Samsung EVO Plus. Asking regarding the 2TB size.

My Samsung (in a laptop) runs at 64C just browsing this site. Had it for 2 years. Has not done any harm to the notebook that I am aware of. But curious if I can reduce the fan kicking in.
The reviews say it does. I have one in my desktop and it doesn't get very warm.

Right now I'm on my ultrabookish T14 with a gen 4 micron and the warmest it has gotten in the last two hours is 32c. I've never seen anything close to 64C on either of them.

I have a P43s which for T14 Gen 1 and 2 has the same chassis. So maybe I will consdider it more seriously. Got 61C right now (per Samsung Magician) and 60C per Crystal Disk with this site and Excel open. P43s fan is not blasting though. Samsung says its normal but CD says its hot (red indicator).

Hello everyone, I've read lots of good things about this drive on here and other forums. The price seems to come down bit by bit, which is awesome. I've seen a lot of other drives pull a switcheroo on components, causing the drives to not be as good. Is that something I should worry about with this one? Is this drive consistent in performance now vs last year? Nothing much changed? Thanks.
Mine failed. Bought mine in 2021. After doing some reading, you can go much faster at around the same price. Get something else. That seems to be the consensus.

I bought the 1TB version of this same product in 2021. It has now died. I hope the warranty will cover it. Pretty disappointed because I thought this was a reliable product. Maybe I just have some bad luck. Might look into the P41 or Samsung. I don't know.
Please update on how the warranty support goes. I see in the reviews, there's a lot of people bringing up that there's basically no warranty support because SK Hynix doesn't have a support office in the USA and their warranty policy requires going thru the retailer it was purchased from (in this case Amazon). And of course Amazon is not going to do anything about a product's warranty after 30 days.
