Personally had this for a couple of years, no issues even in high heat. Never got in an accident though knock on wood
My kid totaled our car with this camera. It did well lol.

I think it's worth spending on wifi model (?). Thoughts?

Yeah I agree. Easy to view and transfer the footage, instead of unplugging the micro SD card. But I heard horrible things about their app.

I have this model. Been working great for the past 2 years in the Texas heat until recently. It started acting up and deleting all my settings every now and then.

My last dash cam was a Vantrue with wifi..I found the wifi to be slow and troublesome to use.

I just picked up 2 Aukey DR02 cams for $26 each from Walmart. They've sold out.

I then got this $12 sd card to usb c adapter: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0...asin_title

It works well and is very fast to view videos on my phone.

The absolute best sub-$100 dash cam according to Vortex Radar. The price has never been lower according to Keepa, although it has hit this amount often.

The more tech, the more chance for something to go wrong. And most of those use batteries that swell (although Viofo's higher-end units have Wi-fi capability). These use capacitors that enable use in temperature extremes, unlike battery units.

If WiFi is a deciding factor, you'll be disappointed. It's too slow to be useful. Nice feature though. I have the A129 Plus Duo model. MicroSD card reader is included in the box. I'd rather remove the card and use the reader on my phone to check the footage.

Aukey DR02 is my first dashcam. I only use 1 in the front. Video footage sound is extremely low. Not sure if I got a lemon or all DR02 are the same. I can barely hear anything even at max volume. I have no problem with footage sound from Viofo A129 Plus duo. My Aukey DR02 cam lasted a little over 1 year before it stops recording one day. It still turns on but that's all it does. No videos, nothing.

SD corporate incessantly shilled this crap, and so did many people for $$ on Amazon. Which is why it got booted.

I've had 2 DR02d dual units. Both failed within 2 years. The first one was replaced under warranty. But the company washed its hands of owners' complaints once Amazon booted them. Audio was fine, if not a little tinny.

VIOFO is literally Alibaba trash. These used to go for $37 shipped on several Chinese dropship electronics sites. They just up-tiered their marketing and doubled their price.

The VIOFO software is junk. Look at the broken english Alibaba style description on the Amazon listing:

A119 V3 dash cam gps adopts advanced 5MP IMX335 sony starvis sensor
Proof, please.

And this expert completely disagrees:

Video evidence that the A119 V3 firmware is virtually identical to the 2016 design:
https://youtu.be/S03qJU0FaQI?t=158
You can see the comments in the video, asking,
""Hi, I see several different A119 cams available under different names. Viofo, Spy Tec, etc.... Some are $40, some are $100. What's the difference?? Thanks.""

Generic Chinese dashcam chassic, generic Chinese dashcam firmware, and generic Chinese dashcam quality.
