Wow! This is what they're reducing consumers to now? The have nots scraping over who gets the free chips offer. You know, or they could offer them included with their meals like Rubio's and local taquerias.

I wonder why would anyone eat at chipotle for full price. One can easily find mexican sit down restaurants offering more, if not the same, at that price. Many would come with free chips and salsa. And they taste fresher and tastier. If it's not at least a bogo, it's not worth it at chipotle.

My understanding is that queso and guac is not a free topping, although the veggie burrito includes quac at no extra charge. And double meat/protein is not a 'topping' so I doubt you are going to get free double meat... but that would be nice!!!

Last reward I got before these free chips was a free drink (which I used)... so maybe the reward you have has something to do with whether you used the last reward.... ? dunno.

Certainly not easy to find around me... what sit down restaurant around you, after adding tax and tip, gives you more food for the money these days?

Guess varies from place to place. My last week visit to one of the local restaurants costed $40 for 3 ppl, including tip and taxes. That included free chips and salsa with refills. That's around $13 per person. Each entree was $9 to $11 only, same or less than chipotle. Plenty and much better food.
Lunch prices are even lower starting at 8ish
For reference, chipotle veggie bowl costs $10 here after taxes.
