Don't buy this unless you legitimately plan on using it for rear projection (projector behind the screen, if you're not familiar). Rear projection screens don't give you as bright of a picture as a strictly front projection screen. Definitely don't buy it if you're using it outdoors.

I've owned it for three years and it's been great for the money. Don't expect a 100% flat screen, mine has very slight curling along the sides, but not on any of the viewing area. It doesn't affect anything and hasn't gotten any worse.

I think because it's a front/back screen? I would assume if it was just a front projecting screen the screen would be thicker and easier to see the broadcast?
id like to know too because I have a projector and currently use a big empty wall and wonder if this is worth upgrading to

Sorry for the delay... A screen designed to work for rear projection is semi-transparent so you can project through it from behind. As such, you don't get nearly as much reflected light as a front projection only screen would give you. So you lose a bit of brightness from that, and rear projection screens are also typically grey, so they don't tend to look as vibrant.
If I was going really big I'd go that route. projector's for your daily chill spot can get depressing, always dark in the room or always faded screen, unless your paying crazy for your projector. If you got a separate theater room from your living room that's a different story then projectors are cool

For now I'm using some neodymium magnets to attach it to tent wall or curtain rods as needed.
