These and the 590s are best deal in audio equipment right now, I bought for $300ea a month ago and they sound incredible.

Which reciever are you using?I got the 580 and paired them with onkyo.But sound quality is not that good for me even after caliberation

I have similar experience. Paired mine with onkyo receiver and they just sound okay.

I ended up purchasing RP 280F from Amazon for $349 ea. much better even at lower volumes.

I have a Sony STR AN1000, they sound great. How much power is your Onkyo delivering per channel? Also, my 580's sounded better after some break in.

for media room of size 15x10..screen 15feet distance from seating area..is there sound quality difference between 590 and 580 at 60 to 70 volume ?or is 590 too big(loud) for such size room

Anyone know if the center channel is discontinued or just out of stock. It doesn't show up on the list of products, but will if you search for it.

These and 590s love power. An average AVR won't do justice. They will sound just ok. If you really want to wake them up and rival klipsch rf-7/rp series (and maybe even beat them), pair them up with an emotiva xpa-2 (if budget allows) or crown XLS series amps. Trust me, they will impress you.

I'm using Onkyo 7100 and use direct sound mode and they sound great. Calibration turns the bass down. But I just bought another 580 to use as center and going to calibrate it and see how it sounds with updated Dirac software. LCR will be all 580s, back surrounds will be 280s.
