Credit card would increase the warranty to 2 years, but it's a gamble, and I don't even think credit card companies allow for warranty doubling on refurb items anyway. Would have to read the fine print. Same thing for allstate I believe. Anyone know?
Edit: Looks like Chase extends warranties for refurb. items that come with a warranty. So you're looking at 2-years of warranty vs. three, and the potential to receive a unit with some cosmetic defects. Still a great deal I think.
Jealous of those of you that can take advantage of this now, but hopeful that it'll be my turn someday.
