Credit card would increase the warranty to 2 years, but it's a gamble, and I don't even think credit card companies allow for warranty doubling on refurb items anyway. Would have to read the fine print. Same thing for allstate I believe. Anyone know?

Edit: Looks like Chase extends warranties for refurb. items that come with a warranty. So you're looking at 2-years of warranty vs. three, and the potential to receive a unit with some cosmetic defects. Still a great deal I think.

Denon refurbs generally good? How long is the warranty? Have never bought one before.


EDIT: Looks like its a 1 year warranty.

I mean I guess it really depends on your setup. Personally I cant see any reason to step up to the X4800H and also don't see any need to go with the X3800H over the X3700H, so I am looking at the latter. $861 shipped with 7.5% cash back and 2% cash back from my credit card aint bad...

Finally got to pull the trigger on the X3800H at a reduced price! Hoping this is as good as it gets and there isn't an extra discount on Memorial Day. Additional 7.% CB somewhere (hope it works on refurbished, doesn't say anything in the exclusions).

Thanks for the info on Chase, used my Amazon Prime Chase card to buy the X3700H. Nice to have any extra year of warranty just in case.

Looks like main difference between x3700h and x3800 is a single hdmi 2.1 source on the 3700h and dual sub vs 4 subs. Any other differences? Trying to decide between the two
