If you're not in serious need,I'd recommend waiting for those deals to come back. They're 1-2x a year.
On a tangentially related note, the buds plus have been my fav wireless set of all time (not counting semi-wireless like jaybirds). It's been over two years of daily use and the other purchased sets cannot compare for comfort...can anyone recommend 1:1 comparable replacements with similar fit with the wing tips? Brand doesn't matter really ...TIA

You need to trade in any old wired or wireless headset (dollar store one would work) to get it for $89.99 with fully warranty in the color you want.
If you have galaxy buds pro or live, you can get it for $69.99
A little more with employee / education discounts.
If you're just using them for Spotify or YouTube where the audio is already compressed to death, the HD codec isn't going to be a make or break for you.
Apple does the same thing with their devices and AirPods, except they go one step further and restrict features if you use a non-Apple device.

It's very common to switch to foam tips with these. Comply is a highly rated brand for these and while they're a little pricey, they're a huge upgrade.
A more budget friendly mod is to get some BluTack putty https://a.co/d/2dyHtD1 and pack the stock tips with them. This will cause the tips to conform to your ear canal and form a better seal.
Seems like a great deal to me, as this is close to the price of a refurbished set (refurbished earwax, gross). They have excellent reviews, good noise cancellation, and no history of hardware flaws that I can find.
