I agree! Bought some from Ikea 2 years ago and they're are actually pf better quality than Corelle
Did not know this... When did that happen? Fairly important if trying to grow or replace pieces in a set

That's disappointing to hear, one of the nice things is the ease of replacing your occasional broken plate/bowl as the design never really changed- now won't match stacking- though I use the dinner plates the least so still have a full eight after several years.
Got the same set in 1948 (before I was born) for free when buying boxes of laundry detergent.
