The M2 base model MacBook's have slower storage than equivalent M1 models, but it's hardly considered slow.

It's a shame that Apple chose to go backwards in drive performance for a new generation, motivated by profit. but it's still decently fast.

Seems like a decent price, better than the student pricing on Apple's site, and the Apple Care is cheaper as well.

Does anyone think the prices are going to drop further over the summer once they announce the 15" Macbook Air at WWDC in June?

There is no longer extra years of warranty when a purchase is made on the Costco VISA. There are very few benefits even listed on the benefits page [citi.com]

There is still the free 2nd year warranty on computers when purchased from Costco (any form of payment).

I know...it was a good benefit... anyway Discover is offering 5%CB this quarter at Wholesale Clubs so there's that.

Good to know. Wish I used my chase Reserve card now

NM: Chase's terms say the warranty is secondary to other warranties (i.e. Costco). So i guess it wouldn't matter

I miss having Costco deals on M1.. They are supposed to be equally good in performance but at least 20-30% cheaper.

Keep in mind that Discover got rid of extended warranty benefits too. Saving 5% may not be worth it.

This is correct! Citi Visa no longer offers the additional year coverage.
