I got this a couple years ago. The vibration at high setting definitely is noticeable (Rattled the whole wall of our 1940's house). Medium, low, and eco are fine. I added a support to the outside (just wedged a 2x4 between the bottom of the unit and the ground ) and it has completely taken away the vibration, at least that I can notice. Every once in a while I'll have to turn the black airflow fins because they'll hit a certain spot and rattle. Other than that I have no complaints and don't regret getting it, especially at this price.

Was going to pick another one of these up but saw this one https://www.costco.com/midea-u-sh...04274.html with an inverter that I'll probably grab for our large room, but it's definitely not in the same price range.

Well, I can certainly say that not all reviews are good. 10 will say it's amazing and then a couple will say it's loud and vibrates bad. I think that's true with most ac units and products in general though. I'm hoping for the best. If it's not good it goes back. Either way, after browsing through a lot of them, the deal itself is good. So, not sure what's up with the thumbs down. But, I rarely am...

Thank you very much! Very helpful. I doubt I'm need to turn it past medium for my needs but still concerning. Maybe I'll put a little sound dampening foam under it. But it's just to get by till I get my central ac replaced so not looking to spend much.

I had the Hisense for a summer and despite it claiming it was 8000BTU, I returned and purchased the Midea U AC unit with same BTU, almost silent and much better job at cooling down the bedroom. Agree with other post, setting on high would rattle everything. My unit also squeaked from the internal styrofoam rubbing against something. Generally an unpleasant experience

Is that the near $400 one? Sounds better but more than I'm looking to spend.

Far better off buying the Midea. Sure, it's $140 more, but it's 12k versus 8k, and the inverter will make up the small initial investment in energy savings in a short time. Plus, the Midea is dead silent, not a rattle box.

Hisense AC sucks. Had two of them but the portable one 12000 BTU and both of them broke within a year. Never buying Hisense again

Costco is now starting to sell cheap Chinese brands... Do your research before purchasing, Hisense isn't known for making reliable compressors.

Man, I bought a Frigidaire 8000 btu unit for $99 5 years ago.

Is this inflation? Or is the wifi option for this driving the price up?

This isn't anything new, especially with window AC's....they are all made in China and have been for quite some time regardless of which brand is slapped on it.
