They have not been addressed. I have one on the latest firmware and it will only charge when it's really sunny. My other unit from a different brand will charge (slowly) when it's cloudy. This one... nothing unless the sun is beating down on it.
Do not recommend.

There is explanation for USB-C issue right there in the first comment, PD spec has gray areas where that de-walt adapter falls.
The power issue at the end is a non-issue - one needs to understand limitation of his equipment.

I was actually thinking about purchasing something like this and pairing it with the solar panel deal from Amazon to power some led lights for my backyard at night. Was planning on using a mechanical timer to trickle the battery to keep it on. Does anyone know if a unit like this is doable and if it has a pass through.

Pairing this with a 200Ah Lifepo4 makes it a great small-to-mid power solve; but the retail market is too bloated right now. Look into what jehugarcia does on YouTube with 'homemade' batteries than can charge this, while solar does, as well as pass through and UPS. The next step up is the AC60 combined with the B80 from Bluetti; but that is very new and expensive, so this deal may be ideal. It appears to be refurbished via Bluetti or an official source approved by Bluetti; so maybe that equates to an even better bargain now.

Thanks for that. I'm very new in the space of DIY solar projects and would like to start off small and easy before I start going crazy with building my own pack. It seems that most of these units have pass through only on the dc or usb plugs.

I have one of the eb3a's from a previous deal and like it a lot. But you have a good point here. I looked it up on their site to be sure. But yeah, same warranty as their new product. That is probably enough to persuade me. I would probably go with the ecoflow if I were to do it again and knew what I now know.

But I think either of these are a great "toe dip" into the solar and battery box games.

I really like the idea of one or more of these and a 48 volt server rack battery or three to hook up to for more power. You would still be limited by your inverter size. But as you can see, lots of different angles here.

One thing I really like is it takes a regular computer tower power cord. No wall wort or power brick to take along.

Yes, all, in limited capacity. There is power dip of 30 ms (0.03 sec) during poer/battery switch and some devices might not like it. This does not happen with UPSes.
Vast majority of switching PSUs if they are not at peak capacity will work with no issues.

Also must size the unit not at peak output power but at charging power for PSU. About 200W will be the max for this unit.

This is good news. I think 30ms is fine if you don't run the servers of Amtrak. I am tired of lead-acid UPS units that last 2-3 years.

My problem with "proper" UPSes is that they are designed for a relatively short run time (10-20-30 min) and therefore are not very efficient. The model I had would consume internal battery on it's own, nothing attached, within about 1 hour. They also tend to have slow charge rate, 5-10 hours. I need UPS to maintain my Fiber optic internet for at least several hours during outage and be able to charge it from the generator within few hours, better one. These units offer all that.
