My Lectric XP has been a nightmare. Defective out of the box. Company 100% unwilling to help. I promise I am no Karen. I am like the nicest, easiest going person. I regret that purchase so much!
The people I drink with at the park have these and love them.
Good deal. I bought 2 of these over a year ago for 999 with the comfort package. The baskets are well built but the seat is not worth upgrade price. Much better off getting a seat of your choice from Amazon for $30.

Folding is clunky and heavy but it is nice when you want to take them to a certain location and toss in your suv trunk or hitch carrier. Folding hack is to stow them in the large Husky tote with wheels so they are easy to move and stash as needed. I'm 6'5 250lb and this has gone 29mph. The step thru model is better for taller people considering the pedals are lower.

What's a good use case for this bike? Anyone use to commute from home to a train? Wondering how easy it is tow around a station.
A low weight scooter is much better for this use case. Mine is 27 lbs, folders into nothing and I can take it on the LIRR or the subway

They also have a Lectric XP Lite, that's the one I got.
Not going to lie, I tried all of them at the store in Phoenix. And the Lite was the most fun to ride. No gears or anything, just hop on and ride. I ended up getting the xp, since it just came with more stuff. I think just putting fenders on the lite brought the price up to the xp price. But fun bike. I'm a big guy too, but the smaller motor easily handled me. the mid drive wasn't much fun to ride.

That's why I got Phantom R1 e-scooter from Costco for $275 for my wife and attached two child seats, front and back.
What child seats did you use for the R1? My kids weigh 48lbs and 35lbs... will the seats work for them?

I use the "Bellelli Bicycle Baby Carrier" for the back and "Bell mini front carrier" for the front. My kids are 2 and 5 years old. I weight 180 lbs myself and I'm not sure how much my kids weight now.

Check on Phantomgogo main website for reviews. I posted a review with pictures, but that picture has the old Bell rear seat. I just swapped to the Bellelli recently.

If you've never had a problem with either of them how do you know that they have great customer service?
Because I purchased 7 bikes, many spare batteries, tires, tubes, seat posts, cargo carriers, and other accessories and they offered incentives each time. When I purchased the 5 Lites one at a time they arrived in just a few days and again they offered me incentives. When I called they called me by name, thanked me for previous purchases which they must catalog. One set of tires got misdirected and they sent me a 2nd set. Ended up with twice the tires and they discounted the 2nd set. Recommended Lectric to many friends and relatives and a few did have issues. The most recent one being a Trike for an 82 year old. It was ruffled in transit and the buyer was pleased and complimentary with how they addressed his issues and missing charger. A neighbor purchased the Lites and he had issues too with missing parts and they expedited delivery of them to him. So based on my experience and the comments of the others their customer service is stellar. Plus I diligently follow two Lectric forums and the overall satisfaction of other buyers comes though in the threads.

Let me expand on the Trike issue. The trike arrived boxed in a non Lectric box one that is not as sturdy as the ones Lectric historically uses. It had no name brand on it. Apparently something happened on FedEx's watch and they would not clarify what it was to Lectric or to the buyer. The Trike was repackaged, was marred, had a dent in the fender, was missing the charger and some wires were loose. If it were you or me we'd insist on a replacement. But the buyer waited so long with summer starting that he just wants the issues addressed so he can start riding as he has a balance issue and cannot ride his Trek Bike. Lectric sent replacement parts overnight and paid to have his bike picked upped and repaired by the closest bike store. And the buyer lives in a remote area. The buyer was happy with that. Perhaps, you or I would have taken a different approach with Lectric but since he was completely happy with their response what more can i say?

How easy is it to install a rear seat for a child/teen?
Lectric does not officially support putting a rearseat on the 2.0 (they only rated the rear rack to 75lbs), although its all over amazon and I have seen at least a few in the park in use with elementary school age kids on the back..... but teens? Its your money but... probably shouldn't.

I think these are pretty good for the price. We've had a pair of 2.0 for a year and a half. Have had a couple of displays go out but they were replaced pretty easily.

that being said, they don't feel super exciting and seem like more of an old person's bike to me. Fine for my wife but I think I'm going to sell mine for a scrambler type of bike.

One of the Lites we purchased was for a grandson attending RIT. He used the bike all winter long to attend classes stating that he couldn't drive, look for parking, and get across campus to class as quickly as he could using the Lite right up to each building holding classes. For him the Lite ebike was perfect.
