$369.98 plus tax, free shipping, save $100
The newly released "Kobo Elipsa 2e" is available as a bundle (reader and cover) for $369.98 which is exactly a $100 savings. It isn't a fancy marketing promo so I didn't know if was intended or a math mistake but I bought one which arrived today so I can confirm it is at least legit.
This is sold by BlueProton (normal seller for Kobo) via Amazon or eBay:

IMO, the target market for this product is note takers, students reading textbooks, professionals reading tech books, etc. If you are reading for pleasure by the pool then get the Clara 2e or other reader instead of this.
A few Specs:
10.3" E Ink Carta 1200 touchscreen (SAME AS PRIOR)
227 PPI, 1404 x 1872 resolution with Dark Mode (SAME AS PRIOR)
32GB (SAME AS PRIOR)
Dual Core @ 2 GHz (NEW, probably better battery life)
ComfortLight PRO – Adjustable brightness and color temperature (NEW, better night reading)
STILL NOT WATERPROOF (SAME AS PRIOR, buy something else for pool reading)
Kobo Stylus 2 (NEW VERSION, rechargable now)
SleepCover - NEW VERSION but now sold separately (shrink flation?). I really like it, opens horizontal now instead of vertical and is thin. I'm very pleased but glad I found this bundle because I think it is over priced if you buy it individually.
NOTE: I do not have the prior version so I can't compare but from reviews it seems that this new one is really a push to fix the misses in the 1st gen. Better performance, rechargeable stylus, comfort light, etc. This is a solid device but certainly not the most advanced hardware on the market depending on what ecosystem you want to be on.
WARNING: 3rd party sellers like BlueProton usually charge restocking fees on returns
For reference, this $369.98 bundle ($100 savings) includes the following 2 products:

I guess the lesson is don't trust the first few people who downvote just because they were not the target market user. I hope at least one person got their order like I did while it was up.
