Luckily their warranty dept doesn't suck as much.
I'm on my replacement of a replacement of a replacement at this point (not the same model)

I have this brand, different model. It went out after a couple years. Customer service said SOL buy a new one.

That's why I bought this one with a four year Geek Squad protection plan. I can't find any other place (checked Walmart, Lowe's and Home Depot) with an extended warranty more than three years.

Similar story here. Frigidaire stiffed me. Sent a replacement for the first one that broke in one season. Second one broke pretty soon with the same F0 or F2 error (I don't remember) and they said "too bad, you're stupid to have bought our brand in the first place" (not in those words).

I can't figure out why this model (actually the 50 pint model) is on so many "best dehumidifier" lists given all the issues people are reporting here.... I'm in the market for one, but hesitant to pull the trigger on this one now given the comments from others! Any other good dehumidifier recommendations?

I'm with you. They all seem like crap. Costco has Hisense 50 pint in store for around $180: reviews are terrible. Still might pull the trigger with their return policy. But frustrating the garbage they make.

Probably paid advertising. You can pay anyone to get your product to be top list. I'm sure each product works great at first but in the long term, they may go bust. That's why they keep introducing newer models and remove old models. Can't really comment on old models when they remove it. Lol

My parents have really old dehumidifiers that never have issue. It looks ugly but works like a champ. These newer ones tend to leak out or the pump goes bad.
