Just picked up the 34 quart model. Really nicely made units and quiet. Eco mode is plenty sufficient for keeping things cold, which means using a power station extends useful time.

Will this fit in the model Y sub trunk 7-seater? (more height than the 5-seater so the height isn't a concern). They have a video of their 23qt fitting and it's 22.68" long. The 26qt here is 23" long

When you copy the code it copies the "at" afterwards. I just tried the code (removing the extra letters) and still works

Just be aware the 30qt you linked won't accept the battery pack. It has to be powered either by the vehicle or an external power station. I've had the 23qt version of this model for years, it's been fantastic. I'd upgrade to a larger one with internal battery capability in a heartbeat but Amazon won't ship any of them to Hawaii.

As an owner of a nice Iceco 12v fridge, make sure you actually need this. If you only go out on weekend trips then this is probably overkill. The hassle of batteries and heat generated and anxiety of making sure it didn't come unplugged is not always worth it. 4+ days? Yeah, a fridge is best. But I decided for short trips I prefer a simple rotomolded cooler.

Agreed. I think one use case might be to just keep in the car at all times to throw restaurant leftovers in, stuff that can melt after a grocery store trip. That you can plug into the car while driving and keep things cold.

The problem with these coolers is that once your power stops, without ice the stuff gets warm fast.

I have the 30 qt version and I have successfully used it on both road trips and car camping trips. We keep ours in the trunk of our VW ID4. There's a 12V outlet in the trunk that can be set to be always on. This EV has a 77kWh battery, so the fridge barely makes a dent.

Will probably purchase 2 * 30qt units for my boondocking van build. One fridge, one freezer, or both fridge as needed. 48v 15kWh battery bank with a 48v to 12v converter (98% efficient) to power both on eco mode. Great success.

/cool story bro

Yup 100% agree I still had unmelted ice when I got home after 4 days in Death Valley.
