I was looking at this deal and had the same thought but came across a webpage from greenworks where they mentioned that Greenworks 80v stuff bought from costco gives us 8 yrs of battery warranty!

Is it better than the Costco 499 deal with 2 batteries, all we are missing is a 2AH battery for $100 less.

The one from Costco includes a 5Ah battery (instead of 4Ah), an additional 2Ah battery and also an extra blade.
The movers are also different... the Costco model can take both batteries at once for a longer run time. The BestBuy unit can only take one battery at a time.

Costco also has an 8 year extended warranty included. Plus, their generous return policy would most likely apply to this.

I've returned 2 Shark vacuums that have died on us, one after a year and a half, the other after six months. They gave us cash to repurchase or whatever we wanted. Main reason we keep buying electronics from Costco, including the Greenworks lawnmower last month on the $500 sale price.

I will say the return policy might not apply to the mower, as I understand large appliances aren't part of that perk, but Greenworks will honor the 8 year battery warranty is what's important.

Yes, $500 last month on sale. They'll probably have it next month again, if there is any stock left, or you might be able to get CS to give you the sale price, though less likely these days.

The greenworks website states this as smart pace, not sure if it is the same model or a newer model, GW sent me an additional 15% coupon, tempted to buy the 60V one with 2 4 AH batteries for 425 usd any suggestions

Combined with the 2 batteries, the Costco one is 48v, the BestBuy one is 80v, that extra power might be worth if it you have thick grass.
