Previous costco thread spoke about the lack of weather resistance. I don't have any first hand knowledge but it'd be worth looking into. And yes, REI membership is worth it.

Yah even though it says it can be used underwater, I wouldn't risk it. My x3 had corrosion in the charger port, had to fight with support to get them to cover it under warranty.

I have one and this is true. After I dunked it into the pool, camera started acting strange, random reboots.

Since we are starting to see pricing come down a bit does this mean soon we will see this at other retailers as well? Been out for a while and pricing is quite high imo...

Whoops!!! I didn't see the coupon above! My bad!

How is this price correct? From the product page:

"Members get an estimated $45.00 back on this item.

Add a lifetime membership for a one-time fee of $30"

$45 from $450 is $405…add the $30 membership fee and it's $435…a whopping $10 savings!!!

Yes but lowest maybe you get around $300 with some subscription and Amex cashback, like a gopro 11 or 360(search old deals on that). There are lot of deals on REI gift cards so this can come in around $300 with those discounts (last week Target happy card deal). That being said I got this and if i buy all the accessories in the Costco deal separately, they equal about the same price, except I can choose which accessories (i.e. better SD card). The big 3 gopro, insta arent going to undercut themselves to much and hover around that $300-350 onsale range for these type of cameras. dji comes in lower but still fixed at a range.

After adding the $30 REI Membership and the ANNIV23 code, the Insta360 X3 is $389.99 + tax. A $60.01 savings.

I have a gopro hero 7 black and I am happy with that one.
But I ride a motorcycle and the insta360 x3 would be amazing to have.
are there any current amex deals on insta360 ?! I know they had some for gopro.
If I can get this closer to $300 that would be awesome...

360 degree camera for $360. I'll accept that as a sign to get it.

This is not a substitute for gopro. In single camera mode gopro is way better and in 360 space insta360 is miles ahead of gopro. If 360 isn't your concern get gopro. But if you want 360 and/or want to be able to reframe and choose your POV while editing insta360 is what you want. I haven't used my x3 is wet condition so can't speak for It's water resistance or lack of it. Insta360 hardly ever falls in price much because they know they are the kings of 360 space. But at this price point why not go with the Costco one or Sam's club with extra battery and all that?
