There is a self parking garage across the street. It twenty something per day. Cheaper if you pay for the week.

I just googled a night stay it says $150 lol this is not a steal by any means
Calculate taxes and resort fees also. This is Hawaii not New Hampshire, it's got some of the highest accommodation taxes in the country.

Weird to take offense. I'm mentioning it for the first timers to Hawaii who, most often, elect to visit Oahu instead of one of the other islands without major freeways, commute traffic, and high rises.
One of the things I love the most about Waikiki/Oahu is the mix of city life and beach life all in one vacation. Just because you didn't like it doesn't mean other people won't.

Just booked 7 nights and save $500 compared to hyatt.com. This is also cheaper than a government discount

No specific flight deals. I just use the Alaskan companion pass or cheapest SW flight

I recommend just renting a car for one day to drive around the island. There are many name brand rentals within walking distance. The rest of the time spend at Waikiki.
Yes, please stay in Waikiki. Actually my dream is that all tourists just stay in Waikiki.

Ahhh, there's the missing context. It read like you were saying you'd been to Hawaii so much that you were over it. You're referring to how Oahu is less fun than the other islands because it's more of a tourist trap.

Doh, yeah after re-reading what I wrote I can see how it could be easy misinterpreted.

I stayed here 6 years ago. Decent hotel, and very good at this price. I've stayed in 3 different hotels in Waikiki on 3 different trips and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Most Waikiki hotels will have same complaints of small outdated rooms. Don't rent a car for the full trip, take a shuttle or Uber to/from hotel and then rent a car for day trips.

I would not recommend this hotel. It is old and dirty, and I was staying the the "newer" tower. I felt dirty the entire stay and I had to switch rooms 3 times cus it was so disgusting. The first one had cereal all over the bed and sofa, second one there was mold all over the bathroom and I made the mistake of accidentally bending down and saw under the sink 🤮 - I still cringe when I think about it, third room was the "cleanest" but it smelled like major mold, mildew, and someone's nasty athletes feet. This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. I don't mind old as long as it's clean, but this was not the case.
