There is a self parking garage across the street. It twenty something per day. Cheaper if you pay for the week.

The deal is for two, so what happens if I book for 2 adults but then show up with 2 small kids. Anyone know?

I'm not one to typically criticize deals like this but I do not understand anyone who would go all the way to Hawaii so that they could spend time in Waikiki. It's literally like going to Vegas so you can stay at an off-strip motel. Save your money and time.
So true. Maui any day.

Anyway, the price is not even a hot deal if you know how to navigate booking with points (ahem Vacasa, ahem Wyndham points).

I believe it's the Waikiki Banyan Condo's parking garage - open to the public

Maui is great but so is Oahu if you know where to stay, where to go, and what to avoid. Waikiki is easily avoidable if that's not your thing.

Yes you are correct. Just a short walk to Hyatt Place. Much cheaper than parking at Hyatt.

Oahu is a great island with the mix of civilization and beaches but there's a lot to watch out for in Waikiki, traffic, parking fees, resort fees, and super crowded beaches full of either homeless or hotel umbrellas and chairs which take up the rest of the useable beach.

Update: nevermind, it says children under 17 are free of charge as long as we use existing hotel bedding. Perfect!!

We have 2 littles and normally all 4 of us can fit in a king bed (and the kids prefer it). If i change the amount of guests to 4, only the option for two queen beds shows up. If I change it to 2 people, the king option shows for the $199/night. Anyone know if that will be a problem if we booked one king for 2 adults and then have the littles sleep with us? It says resort fees are waived but is that per stay or per person? Trying to decide the best way to book it.
Lol how big are you and your wife that you can fit 2 little kids? I'm about to have another little one and man I feel like theres no room even on a king bed for 4 people.

Great deal especially if you don't need parking. Even then The Banyan may be cheaper to park and nearby. Location wise it's fair for Waikiki. You're bascially at the very end of the strip, but on the backside closer to Kuhio. Point wise these usually run for 20k Hyatt points per night so better off paying cash then using points in this scenario. Too bad the Hyatt Centric in Waikiki wasn't part of this deal; much better location.

while Waikiki is a nice place to visit, it has many downfalls. it is VERY touristy , very expensive and parking in the area is a premium. if you are looking for a more authentic Hawaii experience then visit some of the other islands like Maui.

Maui hotels are way more expensive than Oahu, not sure why you even recommend it? Maybe Kauai is authentic and cheaper but definitely not Maui.

Agreed but Oahu has plenty of non touristy spots as well. It's a big Island.

This deal was a no brainer for me. I have to visit Oahu several times throughout the year and this rate is even lower than my government/military discount by hundreds. Yes, I could get an airbnb or third-party rental for a cheaper rate but the quality and standards are all over the place with terrible support. As compared, I can get service on demand at the hyatt direct/corporate if something went awry plus none of that last minute cancellation that's always a possibility with third parties.

Hawaii is what you make it.

Do you want to save money, like climate diversity, and have seclusion? Big Island
Do you want to spend a fortune for everything? Maui
Do you like hiking and spending a lot for it? Kauai
Do you want a urban setting with a mixture of all the above? Oahu

true if you go to the nice resort areas like Kaanapali or Wailea, but in other areas you can stay for less. we stayed in Kihei twice and it was more affordable.

and other islands like Kauai are going to be even more affordable
