Mobile App Popup: "Are you a permanent European resident"?

941 818 May 19, 2023 at 11:14 AM
When launching the SD app from my mobile phone, I get a popup asking "Are you a permanent European resident"?

Is this legit from SD?
Strange, cause I'm not even in EU and have never used a VPN (to change my location) so not sure even why it would think that?

This is a legitimate pop up. Please make sure to mark that you are just visiting, even if you didn't go anywhere. If you don't, your account may be deleted.

In addition to the info emceep gave you already, it's very likely that the reason SD thought you were in the EU was that the IP your phone was using was an EU IP, especially if you were on wifi somewhere or public wifi at the time.
