I can't imagine something like this is going to hold up with any frequency of use.

All it takes is one little hole, one little tear, one little wear point and that's it. Entire thing leaks. I mean, if you only go "camping" once a year, this gets lightly used, and it's stored in a temp/humidity/UV controlled environment, I'm sure you'll get a few years out of it. Well, before you poke a hole in it with a fork -- or wear out a hole on the fold point -- or old age causes the seam to fail or the material to disintegrate.

If you're on a backpacking trip, you're probably not bringing this anyways. So if you're going to a regular campsite where you can easily haul things in and out -- you'd be better served with a rigid plastic washbasin (such as those from Sterilite). Those go for ~$3, will last many years of normal (almost daily) use, and can be repurposed outside of this narrow "camping" use case (bathroom, kitchen, storage, etc).

I used one of them for four years (and multiple moves) to handwash delicate articles of clothing weekly, and when it was dry, it was used for storage in the closet. I still have that same basin today, over two decades later. There's no reason why you can't toss it in the car for washing something at a campsite.

Thank you for comments! Reviewers claim this wash basin is sturdy; I doubt a fork will pierce it. Overall rating 4.6 / 5 stars.

I like this idea a lot, but as someone who does a lot of hand cleaning of things inside the house, and out in the yard, having a handle and a raised bottom is a better option.
I found some on Amazon for a bit more but with these features. Just a quick search. Just something to keep in mind before buying ✌️

Buy a 5 gallon bucket from home Depot. Cheaper, more durable, lasts longer, deeper and way more storage.
But this is collapsible which is the biggest appeal for it IMO

The ozark trail 10 quart collapsible sink is $10 all day at Walmart.

It includes a drain.

We have this and almost use it daily. It's pretty thick not easily damage by forks or other sharp object. The collapsible is nice since it doesn't take up much space.

According to CCC, $7.96 is basically the normal price.
