After reading the reviews, the biggest concern I had was that the bulb burns out after 3 or 4 weeks. A new bulb costs $15 so that's about 12 bulbs per year or $180/yr for bulbs! No thanks.

Kittmip Bug Zapper Replacement Bulb 15 W U Shaped Twin Tube Bulb Indoor Outdoor Bug Zapper Light Bulbs with 4 Pin Base (White, 4) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09PY2KDQM

4 pack for $21. I bought these for this exact zapper.

You obviously never owned one because it kills them in the hundreds.
It attracts and kills all the living species. The real issues are it just kills too many unwanted lives that's not menacing nor annoying. On the other hand, it does attract all exotic species; I once saw a moth size of an eagle laying around this thing, I think it was trying to get inside the cage..... I've never seen a moth that big and fly so graciously, life is truly a marvelous and wonderful thing one will truly appreciate one's existence to share our places we call home.

Thanks for the link! So I saw from your above post the bulb lasts about a month. At $5.50 per bulb, that's only $66/year for bulbs instead of the $180 for $15/bulb replacements. Definitely better.

Do you like the zapper? I was hoping the bulb would last longer than a month. I see you wrote above in post #32 it was a "good deal" and you bought another one, so you must enjoy it! Have you tried other zappers? Do you use it 24x7? Thanks.

The bulb that came with the zapper only lasted a month. The others seem to last a lot longer. The 1st bulb of the 4 pack is still going about a month of 24hour use. I haven't tried other zappers but for $20 i figured it was worth it for another one.

Thanks for the info! I may give this zapper a try.

BTW I found this link for 5 bulbs for $24.32. The reviews look pretty good. Maybe it's another good option.

You're welcome. BTW I just got one, was able to stack coupons (5% discount & 45% discount) so total came to $21.85 with tax.

I also got this one. It was $23.66 including tax. "Zfitei Bug Zapper" - https://www.amazon.com/Mosquito-O...66DF7JB8TN

I picked the 1st one (GOOTOP) due to your experience, and the 2nd one by Zfitei (who names these products...) as the reviews indicate the bulbs may last 2 or 3 months. I will try both of these out and see which works better & has longer lasting bulbs. I need two zappers anyway, one for front and then back porch. I'll measure the bulbs in each unit to see if I could perhaps use the same 4 or 5-pack of bulbs as replacements for both units.

Thanks for sharing your GOOTOP experience! & Thanks OP, repped.

I saw two outdoor mosquitoes insect zappers on sale for $40 at local Costco store last week. Nice outdoor strong quality it was $10 off making it $40 Would prefer getting from Costco than amazon.

Would it be better to buy a zapper instead of a thermacell? Thermacell is kinda expensive with the refills.

Good for killing moths, bad for killing skeeters. Maybe these kinds of lights work differently indoors but when I've used them outdoors the only things I get are moths and crane flies.
