They might feel any fan of the genre will already own StS since it's the gold standard. I know I have it on multiple platforms and didn't have any of these other than Dicey Dungeons.

I want fight in tight spaces but I have to get all the other games which i probably won't play so i'll wait for a better steam sale.

Dicey dungeons is a fun afternoon but not much replay.
Tainted grail is overbuilt. Interesting system but didn't find it fun.

Alina of the Arena is incredibly good, but maybe just worth buying on it's own on sale, rest of the lineup is meh

Slay the Spire kinda closed the genre for me. Nothing is even close to it in Roguelike Deck building games

Monster Train is VERY similar and fantastic. Highly recommended if you enjoyed StS.

It feels a little looser than StS. Its easier to get some of those broken builds.

It's for those of us who have slain that spire so many times we want to vomit.

Imo:
Dicey Dungeons was fine though short. Same with Luck be a landlord.
Alina felt okay but kind lacking in build/creativity.
Monster Train was fine but a bit too overdramatic, both in numbers and artwork.

Not sure about the rest. Guess I'll try it.
