Thanks for posting. I'm looking for something dual purpose, work remotely (SWE) but some light gaming after work. Might be overkill for me on the gaming and not worth the weight. Appreciate any thoughts .

I'd prpbably go for a 14" then. They are a bit pricier but the size difference is noticeable.

When you say remote, I assume you're going to game in the same place so weight shouldn't matter much unless you have a non-remote job where you will be using your laptop in different places every day. 5 lbs isn't that heavy if you have a small shoulder bag or backpack with just essentials. Often neglected is the weight of the power brick which for dedicated Nvidia GPU laptops can be a pound itself. However you also have to consider if you use your laptop for any kind of entertainment and the larger screen and GPU will be nice to have
