I guess maybe because it's a YMMV deal. Also, maybe put the model number in your post?

I picked up a pair of the MartinLogan 60XTi gloss black, in open box satisfactory condition last night for $1091 w/tax. The biggest problem with these open box items is they don't include the outrigger bases. These are GIANT speakers, and on a thick carpet, or one that's not perfectly level it can make these tall speakers somewhat prone to tipping over.

Also, the speakers were absolutely filthy. They were wrapped in a huge layer of bubble wrap at the store, so I just decided to check them out at home. The goofballs put tape and stickers all over the high-gloss finish when they wrapped them! Plus, they were covered with schmutz and fingerprints - even on the driver cones! I had to clean the entire speaker with Goof-Off to get all the residue off (I cleaned the speaker cones only with a very dilute solution of dish soap, and rinsed and dried them immediately). Only use microfiber cloths when cleaning a gloss finish like this. When I was done, however, they did look pretty amazing - only some very light scuffs on the top of one speaker.

When I first got them I was pretty sure I was going to return them because of the missing outriggers and the dirty condition. But after listening to them for an hour or so I absolutely fell in love with the sound of these. So smooth and detailed, with a near perfect balance of lows and highs. I've been an audiophile for nearly 50 years and have heard dozens of speakers and these are definitely keepers. I use them only for 2 channel music, but I'm sure they would be great for home theater, too.

I'm seeing $650 each BNIB with availability near me (Springfield, Potomac Yards stores in Virginia). Thumbs up.

I also purchased these recently. They do require some power! And I also did not receive outriggers. Contacting Martin Logan, the total price would be over $150 for both speakers; has anyone found anything cheaper to stabilize these beauties?

So almost seems like open box excellent might be work driving for due to outriggers. I think will just get from Martin Logan unless someone finds a cheaper solution

Wow, the Goof Off didn't damage the finish? I've had varying degrees of success using that as an adhesive remover but when I have got it to work it usually damages the finish underneath. I would be extremely apprehensive with such high dollar beautiful speakers. But good for you that it worked!

Don't you just love that mid-range? Normally that spot where a lot of speakers get it wrong and it gets shrilly. These just don't. Very non fatiguing sound. I also love these

What type of AVRs/Amps are you folks using to power these speakers on?

I'm using a NAD C-372. 150 watts 4 or 8 ohm stable. These are 4 ohm speakers they sound great with the NAD. But they are very efficient so you may not need too much power to drive them.

Anyone passing up on these because they're missing outriggers or grilles has to be insane. These speakers are worth every bit their MSRP over $3000 a pair. At these prices I could care less about outriggers and grilles. I found one on FB marketplace with slight shipping damage on the back that's hardly noticeable for $250. Then scored a Best buy store demo for $500. $750 out the door was the deal of a lifetime for me 😁

Between this sale vs kef. What is a better buy in term of sounds quality? Noob with speakers.

Should I replace Polk LSiM 707 with these. I absolutely love the Polks with great midrange, wondering if the Martin Logans will be an upgrade. Any thoughts?

That's surprising, I've used it on lot's of delicate things and never had a problem. It's important to use diluted dish soap to remove it, and then rinse well.
