Haven't had any issues like that. The most I've made at once was around 8 in the 16. I've found the key to the gas powered one is full flame in between pizzas to keep the temp high but when you put one in, you lower to half heat for the minute or two or takes. Then back to full heat before the next one goes in.

If you're willing to take the time to make your own dough and practice a bit, these things make incredible pizza. I would say it took me 3 bakes to get it right. definitely destroyed at least 2-3 pizzas learning, but once you learn the little tricks and how to launch without sticking, it's amazing.
Get the Ooni 16 or you will regret it later.
Ooni 16 is also $120 off of the standard price. Not available on Amazon but is available in BestBuy and the official website.

The 16 Gas oven ($120 off) is not on sale on Amazon yet. I have an Amazon gift card to spend.
Any ideas? Confused

As per previous comments, it's worth waiting to buy the 16" if you have the money. My friend and brother have 12s and they both said they wish they had bought the 16. The reason is that in a 12 you have no margin for error if you're doing anything close to a traditional sized Neapolitan pizza (~11-12") because it will be so close the flame, so you need to be quick on rotating and may still burn it. I love my 16 Karu, but tbh I've only used propane on my first 10-15 cooks. I'm still looking forward to being able to do a lump charcoal-wood combo cook though; there's just something about a wood fire Smilie.

Im dying to get oneā€¦ have you ever made a lot of pizza back to back? I'm wondering if the stone at the bottom accumulates heat, getting too hot eventually.

The stone will get incrementally hotter over each cook, but all I do to compensate is cook with more flame on successive pizzas to cook top and bottom evenly. Also, if you realize mid cook that the bottom is cooking faster than top, you can lift the pizza with your pizza peel for a few seconds.

Has anyone cooked anything other than pizzas in this thing? Would be very interested in firing up steaks but would love to hear people's experience.
