I've had this for over a year. It is painfully slow and after powering on, takes a good 5 minutes (not exaggerating) before UI responds to any input. The only use case I can recommend this for is reading books or watching *downloaded movies.

Good price on a budget tablet.

I have one in my meeting room, serving as a zoom room controller.

Don't expect any performance on this tablet. It is super slow. Lagging when open apps.

I know it is ONLY $70 but this thing is slow. It is not the RAM or Hard Drvie... it is the CPU.

I will not buy a tablet this slow, even for my kid. When on sale... hopefully it will show up soon... the Lenovo P11 Pro is the best bang for the buck at $220 - 230.

At the same time, we have a 2018 Fire HD tablet but we did the XDA thing like 4 years ago and it works great. We also have a CHEAP Chromebook Tablet that comes with the Android Play Store. Point is, I understand SLLLLLOOOOOWWWW tablets and the headache is just to great.

And I am not sure what to get your 5 year old... maybe this. But really, if it is for you... don't do it.

Anybody use this for clash of clans? If so, would you recommend? I think I'd appreciate a non-21:9 ish ratio, but not looking for anything too spendy

I did some research.

I think for $10 more, the next generation is better and you get USB-C port.

I would pay a little more to get the 9 inch, as it is 400 nits.

Wish the resolution is 1980x1200, better for text.

The A22 cpu in this is from 2018 and scores a 60,000 antutu and a 816 single core and 2409 multicore on geek bench. Compare that to a modern iPad that gets 1,400,000 antutu, 2,400 single core and 9,300 multicore and you can see how painfully slow this will be running anything.
