It works on really light scuffs. If you have scratch it's not going to work. I just got it yesterday and seems like scratch's on my car have gone lighter but they are still visible.

I didn't personally use this but I'm pretty sure it's user error if some people didn't remove any scratches. Based on reviews and an actual chart, Scratch x is supposed to be more abrasive than polish and not as much as compound for non pro consumers. This should be more than good, so newbies don't mess up their paint.
Most meguiars products are legit, although I use Koch chemie, rupes, and 3D One products, I don't think those are suitable for average folks without an actual polisher and could be too abrasive if they rub the wrong way with microfiber towels or pads.
