The 64GB Air model exists to upsell you to the 256GB Air model or to the 128GB Pro model. It's no accident that there's no 128GB Air model.

I don't get who is buying 64gb for what.

Also it doesn't matter who is buying 64gb. Someone either is or is not.
Also, the new ipads should be announced in the next month or so, whenever wwdc is

Personally, I don't use that much space so considering the 64 GB Air
In any case, BB trade in of my iPad Air 4th Gen is $240. $405 for an Open Box Excellent Starlight makes it about $200 after tax. Seems worth it, right?
It's called smart shopping

I have a laptop for work and use my iPad for bills, notes , media consumption email, etc.
the main reason I made the purchase was the display support.
As noted the lack of 120 hertz is the only knock but it's not necessary for me
I've got over half my 64gb left. I expect more updates this year with the iOS thanks to the M1 chip. I had a iPad Air 2 last me over 7 years and still got $80 for it
