Some of these battery jump starters have a designated button to put them in "turbo" mode to help jump start the car if the battery is completely dead. I didn't see that option on this particular one so I just thought I would point it out. Also the item is not "sold and shipped" by Walmart in case you care about that.

What boost/bypass mode means wrt current?
How does pressing a button increase current from jump starter?

Most of these will charge a capacitor to provide a large instantaneous charge

I have a couple different brands of these. I like this brand because the previous models showed me the voltage of the battery. Not sure if the newer models do this. It was hard to tell in the walmart pics. I haven't been able to jump start a completely dead battery but have been able to start cars/trucks with batteries that show a very low voltage. Maybe around 5 volts.

I have a Halo bolt, not high on the specs and doesn't have a boost button. The thing works wonders and I've been able to jump a completely dead battery I just needed to let it sit on the leads a little longer like you would jumper cables. No big. The halo only has 500 cranking amps, this one is 2200 which should be way more useful. In a normal situation the halo jumps the battery instantly I'd say even faster than cables

Don't believe the 'List Price'. I paid $49 for this product in 2021 and at that time the list price was $79

Yes, have this same one off Amazon a few years ago and still going strong. Saved me a couple times when I needed a jump, def worth 40$
