I upgraded to yu6 but these speakers are fabulous and I can't say enough nice things about them. I have my yu2 still and I'm torn if I wanna sell them or keep them for using someday.
Not at regular price $250, but IMO yes for the real wood, all the I/O's and internal DAC and amp. You can easily add a subwoofer if you want. To be honest, I've never heard these, but people seem to like them. I got the Vanatoo T zeros instead after much research. More money, better sound, but kind of fugly and the BlueTooth was a PIA. These don't have BT from what I remember, but that's a plus to me.
Any other speakers you would suggest at this price range (or less for better value)?
For value, I'd pick edifier e25 Luna. They were ~$150-175, but they're being cleared out for $75 or less now. I just got a pair on drop.com for like $68 here on slickdeals. They're $75 direct from edifier.
In the $200 range, I'd go with these just because they look so much better than most. But the Lunas are pretty too and sound really good. The Kanto aren't worth double the Luna IMO, but some hate the looks of the Luna.
At the top ($350ish) would be the iloud micro or vanatoo T0 as someone earlier mentioned. The ilouds are super ugly but sound great. I have the vanatoo on my desk now.
I'd stay away from audioengine, at every price point you can find better speakers. But they're heavily marketed.

I have the Luna. Its nice but lacks subwoofer out which is a big factor.

After looking at the e25 Luna, it's not for me. It would be an eye sore on my desk. ðŸ˜
