Any reason for the downvoting? This is way better than the Amazon Basics or PNY Flash drives you normally see at this price (still costlier for 256GB) and come with a single year of warranty. This literally has full lifetime warranty.

I didn't downvote But Another SDr told me these were made from lower quality flash material. So that sucks if they were truthful.

At this budget, yo will not get very fast and high quality Flash components like you see in higher end Flash Drives from Samsung or Sandisk. However, I don't think these are unreliable. They are pretty slow, espcially for sustained write. The main objetive for these for storing media files, creating Multi-OS Boot drives, using with your Tablets etc. but not storing your improtant documents' backup location.
I am using the 256GB C186 for over 2 years now without any issues.

I think they could've sold this cheaper or given a 2 pack for this price to make it more temping.

There was or is a deal on Amazon for a 2 pack 128gb teamgroup for like same price.

But at this price you could spend 3 more dollars and get a more reliable brand.

I like the idea of it, but wish it was cheaper or 2 pack to make the risk more palatable.

Store? IDK, but if you had a backup and you need this to play on your PI or switch, It should work. I definitely would not "Store" as my only backup. I keep data on a home nas, but you could fill these devices up with a lot of stuff to transport the data. Load games, play music or vid files.. There was something I read that flash drives as they age , if never plugged in, will eventually loose the data, so I spose if you plugged them in for a hour every year you would be ok? IDK.. Nice price, but I am waiting for the sub $50 1tb.
