Can be used as an access point (Ethernet as a backhaul) πŸ‘
Ethernet port is only 10/100 πŸ‘Ž

If it had a Gigabit Ethernet port, I would have jumped on this. Without it, I'll pass.

Ofcourse Netgear will tell you ( indirectly or even directly) that their competitor TPLINK product is not reliable. I don't blame them

I have been using one of these for a few years. I don't use it as an extender, but as a bridge to provide a hardwired ethernet connection. It connects to my wifi and gives me ethernet to my burglar alarm panel, which does not support wifi.

This is a great addon if you have a suitable TP-Link router since it uses the onemesh so you can create a mesh around the house.

I would not buy this again.

My cap for upload/download with the ISP is about 375Mbps, and it looks like this WiFi extender falls within that limit. Is a more expensive or newer model needed, e.g. RE550 [amazon.com]

Crappy extender (if at all it works). Bought at the start of pandemic and never worked reliably. Even worked with NETGEAR support about the frequent dropped signals and they too kinda told me indirectly that this isn't that reliable. Bought for $35!

That's like saying "any car recommendation"? Depending on your use case, there are diff extenders at diff price points and capabilities.
