Makes me almost regret $1,549 512 gig one I bought from Costco. Oh well. I've gotten two months worth of use out of it so far which I otherwise wouldn't have.

Great deal OP. Thx for finding this.

Thought this was the 16" model for a second and almost ran to Adorama.

16" from Costco was super rare deal, I tried 4 different Costco and no one has it available. considering that, this is still good price for Pro series as if you look at Apple Certified Refurbished for similar configuration with 512 SSD; they are selling for $1539 on Apple website.

Bought this a few weeks ago. Great deal. Also they ended up sending it by 2 day shipping even though I chose free shipping. This thing is a beast.

This has been active for a few weeks at least. It only briefly disappeared after it hit the front page.

And like the commenter above, I chose the free shipping method that estimated 10 days, but got it in 2 days.

I don't see an option to use PayPal to pay, but, Adorama's site says they accept it. Help?

https://www.adorama.com/help/paymentMethods
Checked with Adorama support. They don't accept PayPal for Apple products at Apple's direction. Wtf?

Bought this the last time it was posted (a few weeks ago) and i haven't regretted it. If you're on the fence, just buy it.

That's a solid deal. BH photo had the maxed out version max chip with 2 tb ssd for 2,500 recently, for 95% of people you won't notice the real world difference and save yourself 1k

Thanks and curse you Op! I lost much sleep last night fighting the urge of making a purchase, including the application for a line of credit.. hours of toil.... I finally caved at 3am and opted for a 16" with 32GB and 512 SSD for 1950 before tax. It was showing backordered this morning but right when I accepted "this is the way", it updated to "will be drop shipped by manufacturer. So I feel joy, shame, fear and hope all at the same time.

Luckily I am a master of mental logic and recently quite smoking cigarettes and got a 1% bonus award at work that should be coming in anytime now. This is truly the way.

Can you not just place a vacation hold at UPS and pick it up once you're back?

I know this M1p MBP model is 2 years old, do you guys think it'll be good enough for another 4 years?
Asking for a college student starting this fall.

Also, is this the best deal right now even with EDU discount?

TIA

I am masters student science, and per my use this is perfect. I was into market for long time and so far I learn that M1 is same in performance as M2 (At least for collage student). Initially I ordered M2 Air with 16 GB RAM and 512 SSD at $1579 (with Student Discount). I regret not finding Costco deal in my area but as far as I know this is good easily 5-7 years. I placed and canceled almost 5 MacBook order in last week just because I was not sure which one is the best option for my. Personally do not go with Air model at all as it has very low RAM and if you want higher memory you will pay same price as pro. benefit is yo get fan cooling, better display, good number of ports and faster processor & also 1 TD of SSD

I shall be upgrading from 2019 Intel i5 13"
This one is 2 year old model - also around $500 cheaper compared to m2pro 1 TB ( I am keeping m2pro 512 out because sad speed issue).
Only reason I haven't pulled the trigger is upcoming June 5 wwdc where most likely they will annnounce mBA 15" - wondering how will it affect price of mbp ?
If same deal came in Costco I would have pulled the trigger because of their return policy !

Thank you. I agree with your assessment.

BTW, is the deal dead? I'm seeing $1799 now.

Edit: NVM, found the discount code entry

Can you specify the exact model and where? Apple Store or Adorama?
