Looks like a solid deal to me. Massive power draw from this bad boy, but if you want the "go", you've got it here. Plus, you can certainly underdrive the device and get some very impressive numbers.

Make sure you know your intended use case though. The 7700x should do just as well for most gaming (until games take higher advantage of multi threading). For multi threaded applications though, this leaves many-a proc in the dust.

I'm seeing this as $382 not $351, am I missing something or did I just miss the deal?

The $351 is a reseller by the name of "The Richard Store". Terrible reviews for them, who knows if they are even selling this item.

EDIT: Looks like the OTHER $351.30 is actually Sold By Amazon.. Good on them!

or $425 with mobo/5900x/ram (price including -$25 new customer promo)

picked up this deal a few days ago along with a price matched $139.99 fractal north case from Newegg. you can also get a 6950x for +$599 with this cpu.

13700k is faster in gaming, and has an IGP/Quicksync for video editing/plex and LGA1700 is a cheaper and more stable platform with better DDR5 support. Only real upside to the 7900x is slightly less power if you use 100% of the cores often, and AM5 will be supported until 2025, though if you buy a board today you're stuck with an early adopter AM5 board so its a double edged sword. Since the 13700k is a similar price, I'd go for the i7.

You can set that temp limit to 85 and PBO CO to -20 all core. Drastically reduces power consumption
