750 watt PSU? AMD recommends 850 watt minimum. Other than that it seems like a good deal. CPU and GPU only are roughly $1000.
I love shopping at MicroCenter, but PowerSpec's tech support is horrible. I kept getting blue screens at random times, tech support could never figure out what's wrong, even took it into MicroCenter to get it checked out. They claimed they ran a test on the system, but did not find any problems. Took it home, blue screened within 10 minutes. It turned out to be a problem with the PSU. I put in an EVGA PSU and I dont think it has blue screened once since then (2 years).

I'm seeing anywhere from 550w to 850w depending on where you look

Honestly, I have the card and don't see power pulls above 550w, and that's during bench marks and stress tests (via a monitor at the plug). I am also running all sorts of other goodies like water pumps, several drives, etc. I had a 750 and the 6950 worked fine, but I upgraded to a 1000 just in case.

Did you actually read what I wrote you can get all next-gen stuff for the same price
Like as a pre-built or building your own? If it's a pre-built do you have a link?

Added these components (or as close as possible) to PCPartPicker and it came out to about the same current asking price. The strikethrough price is a bit high, but this isn't a terrible deal. Not that slick tho.

I had a 6900xt that was tripping a 750w psu, I saw a thread on reddit where 6900xt paired with a higher end cpu can draw up to 1000w.

GPUS that came out around that time have transient spike issues (3090s, 3080s, etc.) Specific power supplies, such as the seasonic focus+, evga G3, evga GA (early batch) etc. have issues with these cards and will shut off or trip protections often. This was addressed in later power supplies, some which came out as a direct response (the seasonic focus GX replaced the focus+ for example)

it'll be fine on a quality brand 750..depending on the gpu brand some do require "only" 750w.

this is a good deal for a quality machine..too bad (insert micro center not near me complaint here)
