be warned these are minimalist, zero drop running shoes. if you know what that involves, you're probably fine choosing these. if you don't, you probably should look a bit into it before making a switch to them. I have a pair of their kit shoes and enjoy cycling them into my running routine, but you want to pay attention to how they recommend transitioning. Running is an inherent repetitive stress injury inducing sport, and a sudden change in movement, muscle use/strain, etc., without appropriate transition can result in you sidelining yourself with achilles/calf/etc strain or similar.

all that said, i like the line of shoes and may pick up a pair.

most people wear shoes down on the heel edge or side edge because of their particular gait/stride. if you're running the way these shoes were designed for, they'll last a very long time mainly because there's so little to otherwise wear out. (don't expect any cushion. full road feel here)

edit: In for 1. went with Navy/Scuba blue.
