If you see gen4, yes. At the moment, there is no difference between the slower and faster gen4 drives.

You're saying I can get below a 5000mb read speed? And see the same results if gen4 ssd?

It goes against Sony's recommendation but from anecdotal evidence, there is virtually no difference.

Dodgy qc but fairly excellent cs fwiw. I've had 2 rockets randomly fail on me well below their tbw rating. Would definitely recommend it as an install or boot drive, but I would not trust it to keep anything precious on whatsoever... and depending on your internet speeds and what you're installing (like 100+ gb games) I might not recommend it at all (because losing a bunch of game installs isn't a big deal to someone with gigabit and no data cap, but it's huge to someone with a cap or 100mbps download speeds)

EDIT: forgot to mention that Sabrent did replace the failed drives and the turnaround time was about 2 weeks in both cases. They did require some anecdotal evidence of the failure, proof of purchase, and detailed images of the drives. They also (obviously) required the failed drive to be sent in.

I hate these misleading descriptions. It's technically the latest revision of this drive per se but apparently there's Rocket 4 Plus which is on par with all other top tier Gen4 drives using 176L Micron TLC which have been going for $120-130 lately. when you can have P44 Pro for $130 this isn't slick at all.

The WD 850X 2TB at $135 is still going on, and a Cashback site tied to a popular payment method is offering 12% cb, easily beats this deal.

I agree. Was debating between this and the P44, and ended up ordering the P44 yesterday. SK Hynix/Solidigm seems rock solid and none of mine have had any issues whatsoever.
